He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his son Jeff; his brother Bill; and his parents, William Walsh and Carrie Walsh.

He is survived by: his sister Beverly Berezansky (Paul); his children, Robin Andrews, Jimmy Walsh (Candy), Carrie Schilling (Barry), Beth Wilson (Corky) and Jack Walsh (Wendi); and his sisters-in-law, Sis Hendrickson and Brenda Walsh. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Lexington United Methodist Church Building Fund at 309 East Main Street, Lexington, SC 29072.
