“We were privileged to welcome Jay to Ireland in May, 2019. We enjoyed Jameson's distillery and Guinness in Fureys. Trips to Trim castle, Loughcrew megalithic site, Clonmacnoise monastery and Mayo followed. His fun and enthusiasm were contagious. I met Jay again in Atlanta in 2022; it was like meeting an old friend. The Foley family are saddened we cannot enjoy Jay's company in Ireland again. Sincere condolences to his family. Ryan Sparks wrote a sympathy message

“I came to know Jay recently through work when I joined “his Alcon family” as he called us. Despite only knowing him for a short time, he made a lasting impact on me. It was as if I’ve known him my whole life. He was so full of joy and instantly hugged me like we were old friends. I suspect Jay never met a stranger. He is truly someone I will never forget and he will be deeply missed. My condolences. Ryan Sparks”

“My sincere condolences to Jay’s wife Vickie, his family, and loved ones on this deep loss. Jay had an unashamed love for the Lord and Jesus Christ, and he had a love for life and this will always stick with me. I only met him just over a year ago when he joined our “sled head” group for a snowmobile trip in Northern Ontario. Jay was an inspiration to us all on this trip and left us with so many memories. He will be missed! Kelly”
