With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Hook Carter in Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Hendrix Hook and John Manning Hook, Sr.; her husband Fred H. Carter, Jr.; and her siblings, John Manning Hook Jr. (Ruth), Elizabeth Caughman (Raymond), Edwin Hook (Jo) and Frances Drafts.
She is survived by: her sons, Chris Carter (Jennifer) and Joel Carter (Dee); her grandchildren, Tyler Carter (Mandy), J. Grayson Carter and C. Chase Carter (Graeson); her sisters, Sue Drafts (Albert), Kay Black (Gary) and June Kaigler (late Bobby); and her brother-in-law George Drafts. She is also survived by nieces & nephews, grandnieces & nephews and great grandnieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
