He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Bernell Schaefer and Ruth Elaine (Wiener); his wife Jayne Elizabeth (Lucas); his son Thomas Patrick Schaefer; his daughter-in-law Christy Marie Schaefer (Boutte); his grandsons, Christian Thomas Schaefer and Aaron Paul Schaefer of West Columbia; his sister Lynette Quiring of Terril, IA; and his uncle Paul (Marcia Wiener). He was also cherished by extended family and friends.
