She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Fletcher Connelly and Willette Taylor Connelly; her daughter Sandra Dooley Fort; and her siblings, Inez Pearson, Olivia Bennis, Louise Williamson, James Connelly, Fred Connelly and Willard Connelly.
She is survived by: her husband John "Buddy" Thompson; her children, Joyce Dooley Sease (Michael) and John A. Thompson; and her grandchildren, Regina Cain, Michael Marchbanks, Gary Sease, Tina S. Jordan, Angie Thompson and Sean Thompson. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
