He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Davis, Sr. and Emma Kennedy Davis; his wife Betty W. Davis; and his sister Betty Davis Riser. He is survived by: his sons, Charles S. (Jan), James A. (Eleanor) and Joseph G. (Melanie); his siblings-in-law, Wiliam F. Wright, Ronnie Ray Wright and Susie Cordray; his daughter-in-law Annette Davis; his grandchildren, Lauren Ward (Bryan), Leigh Anne Davis, Janie Ambrose (Russell), Johanna Pilgrim (Daulton), Tammy Beagan (Brian) and Landon Davis (Meredith); and his great grandchildren, Frank Beagan, William, Andrew Davis, Lyle Ward, Emmeline and James Ambrose.
