It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Gooch Sr. (Lexington, South Carolina), who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Donna; his sons, Randy "Pete" Gooch and Mike Myer; his grandsons, David Myer and E. J. Snyder; and his siblings, Mary Searles, Russell, Robert and David.
He is survived by: his children, John Gooch, Jr. (Dee), Kelly Berry, Darla Snyder (Eric), Robin Gooch and Eric Gooch (Kerry); his grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Jeremiah, Allen, Matt, Mallory, Brittany, Dalton, Zach and Jordan; his brother-in-law J. N. Brown (Kathy); and his nieces, Judy McCombs and Kay Hylton Christensen (Steve). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
