It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Goricki of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on October 21, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Goricki and Margaret Duch Goricki. He is survived by: his wife Julia; his stepchildren, Karen, Eddie and Julie; his sister Barbara Orfitelli of Davenport, Iowa; his sibling's children, Christa, Amanda Orfitelli and Michael Orfitelli; his children, Michael Goricki of West Columbia and Sonya (John Riddle); his granddaughter Victoria Catherine; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Ava Davis and Sylvia.

The wife and I shared a few games of Trivial Pursuit with John and Julia over some wonderful glasses of wine that John always was kind enough to share. He really was quite the opponent and possessed a sharp mind and a keen sense of wit. We lost touch when John relocated and I was not aware he had returned to the Columbia area.
