Von Nessen wrote a sympathy message

“I met John through a mutual love of Pickleball. He was the first to welcome me at Tri-City and always had a smile and greeting when I came to play. Oh, and he always had his “A” game and a chuckle to follow the English on his shots. John was a fine man, a friend to all, and a delight to be around. Simper Fi marine, Rest In Peace. Hal VonNessen”
