He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Christensen and Josephine G. Christensen; his wife Joan Majors Christensen; his daughter Nancy Christensen; and his brother Edgar Christensen.
He is survived by: his children, John W. Christensen, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL and Joanne Wood of North, SC; his grandchildren, Heather Martinez of Woodstock, GA, Brenden Christensen of Denver, CO, Daniel Louvier of Lexington, SC, Donavin Louvier of Bamberg, SC and DeAnna Louvier Snyder of Swansea, SC; and his great grandchildren, Ean, Lena Martinez, Peyton, Madison Christensen, Riley, Deborah, Jonathan and Katherine Louvier.
