He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth C. Blakely; his parents, Maxey Blakely and Eltie Blakely; his sister Janice Blakely Cash; and his daughter-in-law Staci Blakely.

He is survived by: his sons, Chris (Michelle) and Michael (Jamie); his grandchildren, Lauren Hayes (Austin), Makayla Blakely, Zachary Blakely and Megan Blakely; and his sister Faye Ellen Prince (Kenneth).
