With sadness, we share the passing of Jonny Roy Thompson of Lexington, South Carolina. Jonny, born on September 3, 1962, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Shigeko Matsunami Thompson Phillips and Roy Thompson, Jr.; his stepfather Myles Phillips; his sister Emily Jones; his stepsister Carlene Grayson; his sister-in-law Beth Phillips; and his nephew Alex Zipperian.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Nichols Thompson of Lexington; his daughters, Katie of Greenville and Emmie of Columbia; his pet Capo of Lexington; his stepbrother Gary Phillips (Tari) of Columbia; his brother-in-law Jim Grayson of Greenville; his nephews, Mark Phillips (Kristin) of Los Angeles and Bryan Grayson of Greenville; and his niece Allison Grayson (Chris) of Greenville.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel (609 Northwood Rd, Lexington, SC 29072). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Lexington Baptist Church (308 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (1326 Priceville Rd, Gilbert, SC 29054).
