It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Cromer (Lexington, South Carolina), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Joseph Mock Sr. and Leona Hunnicutt Mock; her son Ronnie Mahaffey; and her siblings, Tony, Jerry, Fred Mock (Faye) and Delores Eaton (Joe).
She is survived by: her children, Deborah H. Hedgepath (Larry), Sheryl Heape (Hampton) and Vernon W. Mahaffey (Susan Dellinger); her brother Andy Mock of Ga; and her grandchildren, Ben Hightower (Chiara), Leah Stanley (Charlie), Jessica Hightower of Fla, Rebecca Rodgers, Dusty Blackwell and Billy Blackwell. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, you may make memorials in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Boys Farm in Newberry, SC where she made contributions for many years.
