It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Joyce Sharpe Younginer (Lexington, South Carolina), born in Columbia, South Carolina, who passed away on December 21, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lieutenant Colonel Dewey Sharpe and Katie Belle Joy Sharpe; and her son Justin Edward Younginer. She is survived by: her husband Edward M. "Butch" Younginer; her daughter Melanie Shea Younginer Maddox (Chris); her granddaughter Mackenna Grace Maddox; her siblings, Richard "Dick" Sharpe (Sally Knowles) and Patricia Sharpe Owens Craft (Reed Craft); her nephew Sean Patrick Owens; and her great-niece Doster Bay Owens. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
The family requests please no flowers and asks that any memorials be made to South Carolina Oncology Associates, where she was not only a volunteer but also a patient. All donations to SCOA may help other families not have to lose their loved ones.
