He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Harvey and Minnie Lee Craps Boatwright; his sister Joan B. Blackston; and his stepbrothers, Maurice Frick and Verley Frick.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hallman Boatwright; his children, Ashley Boatwright (Holly) and Jessica Gantt (Joshua); his grandchildren, Seth Boatwright, Lily Boatwright, Kensley Gantt, Emily Gantt and Rivers Gantt; and his brothers, Lonnie Boatwright (Dee) and Jimmy Boatwright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Ebal Baptist Church, 5 Lion Loop, Batesburg, SC 29006 Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.
