He was predeceased by: his parents, Junnie D. Eargle and Mazie Helen Gates Eargle. He is survived by: his wife Jan Durst Eargle; his daughters, Laura Price (George) and Brandy Gilbert (Jason); and his siblings, Stephen Eargle and Sharon Wise (Paul). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church of Lexington, 1205 Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
