He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Cothran, Sr. and Gertrude Whitt Cothran; and his wife Faye. He is survived by: his son Chris Cothran of Irmo; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Cothran of Irmo; his granddaughter Jillian Cothran Heard (James) of Opelika, AL; his great grandchildren, Joel and Annalise; his grandson Clark Cothran of Irmo; and his sisters, Olive Davis, Pat Abrams (Joe), Vivian McClellan (CW) and Abercrombie. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the building fund of Shiloh Methodist Church or Butler Methodist Church, Saluda SC.
