It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lena Ayers Smith of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl C. Ayers and Bessie Green Ayers; her daughter Virginia Fairburn Parris; her granddaughter Margaret Lena Fairburn; her siblings, Fred Ayers, R. C. Ayers, Ruby Gresham and Mildred Ayers; and her great grandchild Cheyenne Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Millie Headrick (David), Walter Smith, Jr. (Karen) and Edwin Smith (Renee); and her son-in-law Bobby Parris. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
