Loretta Mae Hunter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Mae Hunter of Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on May 18, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Loretta Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Loretta Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Hammond and Clara Hammond; and her siblings, Terry Hammond, Linda Matherly and Connie Moss.

She is survived by: her husband David; and her siblings, Darlene Singleton of Lexington, SC, Penny Peel of Greenwood, IN and LeRoy Hammond of Terre Haute, IN. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Loretta was an avid dog lover; memorials may be made to any local shelter in her honor.
