Though Margaret may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Margaret touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burton Ayers Jr. (JB) and Annie O'Tuel Ayers; and her brothers, David Burton Ayers Sr., James Edward Ayers Sr. and Robert Gerald Ayers.
She is survived by: her husband James Stonewall Thompson Jr. (Jimmy); her son James Stonewall Thompson (Jim); and her grandchildren, Audrey Grace Thompson, Nicole Lynn Luckett and Randy James Luckett (Melissa). She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, and 13 nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (1200 W Main St, Bennettsville, SC 29512).
