He was predeceased by: his father Maitland "Bud" Hunt; and his brother Malcolm Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his children, Trevor Hunt of Lexington, Christine Johnson of Hudson and Jody Rembert (Raymond) of Lutz, Florida; his grandchildren, Chelsea Hunt (Eric Colgan) of Fletcher, Jacob, Alexandra and Courtney Woods of Lutz, Florida; his great grandchildren, Peyton and Liam Colgan of Fletcher, Vermont; and his siblings, Murray Hunt of Jericho, Vermont and Martha Prince-Stockwell (Jason) of Jericho, Vermont. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
