It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Nix of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dannie Victor Dukes and Emily Alpine Brickle Dukes; her son Ottie Clifford Nix, Jr.; and her brother Reverend Dannie Floyd Dukes (Jane Love Dukes). She is survived by: her husband Ottie Clifford Nix, Sr.; her children, Connie Nix Dorsey of Lexington, SC and John Clifford Nix (Dru McPherson) of Gilbert, SC; and her grandchildren, Megan Claire Dorsey, Joseph McArthur Nix and Philip John Nix. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
