It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Clayton Patteson of Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Massey Barnes Clayton and Dorothea Sheasley Clayton of Birmingham; her husband Harold; her brother Massey Clayton; and her son Reed.

She is survived by: her sister Priscilla Watts of Knoxville, TN; and her children, David Patteson (Beth), Cynthia Patteson, Margaret Janaskie (Michael) and Marjorie Patteson (late Reed). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial gifts may be made to Geneva Benefits Ministerial Relief Fund (Genevabenefits.org) or Oliver Gospel Mission.
