She was predeceased by: her father Hampton A. "H. A." Waites, Jr.; and her husband Donald Gunter. She is survived by: her children, Donna Peterson (David), Carrie Tinsley (Jon), Melissa Gunter, Rachel Gunter and Ross "Rusty" Goodin (Marilyn); her stepsons, Peter Gunter (Sandy) and Paul Gunter; and her siblings, Linda W. Harwell and James A. Waites. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
