He was predeceased by : his parents, Allen Baxley and Norma Baxley of Florence, SC.. He is survived by : his wife Peggy R. Baxley; his sister Jan Baxley of Lexington; his sons, Dwayne (Victoria), Stephen (Lisa) and Brian Sr. (Julie) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Joshua, Bradley, Braylon, Anna, Katie, Brian Jr., Bryson and Bennett; his great grandchild Blake Allen Baxley; and his aunts, Genevieve Bennett (Bob) of Hemingway and Janie Lou Morris of Hemingway.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any memorials be sent to Gantt Street Baptist Church, 2121 Gantt Street, Cayce SC 29033.
