He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace "Mack" Reginald McCaston and Grace Anderson McCaston; his brother Steven Wallace McCaston; and his grandson Gavyn Wallace-Wayne McCaston. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Nicole McCaston (Mike), James "Jamie" Russell McCaston (Kitty) and Steven "Stevie" Reginald McCaston (Rachel); his grandchildren, Saylor, Levi, Mac, Aleena, Colton, Jaxon, Gracelyn, Luna and Raylan; his brother David Randall McCaston; and his pet Gunner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Greenville, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
