He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexford Eugene Sturkie, Sr. and Louvelia Shull Sturkie; his wife Freddie Sue Farrow Sturkie; and his grandson Christopher Bowles. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Sturkie (Tracy) of Lexington, SC, Vincent Sturkie (Sandra) of Greenville, SC and Jason Sturkie (Amanda) of Honea Path, SC; and his siblings, Donald Sturkie (Betty Ann), Bill Sturkie and Ann Connor (Cal) of Lexington, SC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
