He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin Fowler and Dorothy Mabry Fowler Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Rometta "Ro" Fowler; his sister Andrea Campbell of Charlotte, NC; his nephews, Blake Campbell of Charlotte, NC, Jay Campbell (Jenny) of Wilmington, NC and Matthew Campbell; and his niece Alison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to Shandon United Methodist Church with a notation for The Allen Scholarship Fund in care of Shandon United Methodist Church.
