He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Therit Bowles and Frances Wilkie Bowles; and his sister Margaret Aines. He is survived by: his wife Ann Rushton Bowles; his children, Robert Francis Bowles, Jr. and Mary Lynn Bowles Barnette (Robert) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Lauren Martin (Dillon), Robert Rushton Bowles, Nathan Barnette and Luke Barnette; his great grandchildren, McKinley and Maggie Martin; and his nephews, Thomas Aines of Utah and Steven Aines of Maryland.
