He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Thomas Hatchette and Gladys Myrtle Thornton; his son Jeffery Glenn Hatchette; and his sister Margaret Hatchette Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Abigail "Abby" Bradley Hatchette (S. Army); his son Jason Thomas Hatchette (Jennifer Shealy); his grandchildren, Ashley Morgan of Nashville, TN, Lauren Elizabeth of Nashville, TN, James Bradley of Nashville, TN and Brooke Anne Hatchette of Nashville, TN; his daughter Jennifer Leigh Campbell (Matthew Campbell); his grandchildren, Ryan Joseph of Inman, SC and Bailey Abigail Campbell of Inman, SC; and his brothers, Thomas Lee Hatchette and John Carlyle Hatchette. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
