He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Porter and Mary Thompson Porter; his sister Maribeth Hambrick; and his former wives, Ella Mae Porter and Doreen Cohoon Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Ina Porter; and his daughters, Mary Parsons, Melinda Butler, Elizabeth Zamparo (Roger) and Ellan Porter (Paul). He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
