It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Schilling Sr. in Lexington, South Carolina, born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Schilling and Peggy Schilling; and his siblings, Lewis Schilling Jr., John Schilling, Charles Schilling, Betty V. Roberts and Joan Barfield.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Schilling; his children, Robert L. Jr. Schilling (Katherine), Barry Schilling (Carrie) and Kathy Schilling; his grandchildren, Nick Schilling (Meagan), Amanda Schilling, Rachel Schilling, Delaney Schilling, Kaitlyn Schilling and Sarah Schilling; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Mia and Colton; and his caregivers, Rajiv Laird, Kelsey and Tyna. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions to be made to the South Carolina Hospice and Palliative Care Foundation.
