She was predeceased by : her parents Colie and Lizzie Snipes Turner; her husband James Garrison Toon; her son Christopher Douglas Simpson; and her siblings, Annie Ruth Turner Harlin, Steven Turner, Harmon Turner, Charles E. Turner and Sarah Jane Turner.
She is survived by her children, Cherri Sweat of West Columbia, Deborah Simpson-Enlow (Jerry) of Blythewood and Phillip Owen Simpson of West Columbia.
