She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Alexander Stallings and Gerald Bryant Stallings; and her brother Jerry Alexander Stallings. She is survived by: her husband Richard L. Powell of Columbia, SC; her sister Betty Kay Williams (Stan) of Melbourne, FL; her stepdaughter Lisa Turkett Dawson (Bill) of Lynchburg, VA; her daughter-in-law Byron Turkett (April) of Griffin, GA; and her stepchildren, Rebecca Powell Austin (Tom) of Columbia, SC and John Powell (Susan) of Columbia, SC..
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Haisten McCullough Funeral Home (1155 Everee Inn Rd, Griffin, GA 30224). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
