It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sonya Arnold Motes of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, who passed away on May 31, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her son Matthew Steven Motes (Morgan Shinn); her grandsons, Bowyer Steven and Morgan Boone Motes; her daughter Lindsey; her grandsons, Holden Thomas and Everett Graham Rish of St. Johns, FL; her siblings, Vince Arnold (Teresa) and Deirdre Heverly (Carl); her brothers-in-law, Bryan and Gervase Motes; and her mother-in-law Betty Motes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
