He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph "Cooter" Sharpe and Marjorie Harmon Sharpe; his brother Julian; and his son Stephen. He is survived by: his sisters, Robin Sharpe Leverton of Beaufort, SC and Rynn Sharpe Herndon of Columbia, SC; his nephew Robbie O. Chandler; and his nieces, Healy F. Akridge and Nora H. Sharpe.
