He was predeceased by: his parents, Issac Patrick Roberts and Laura Belle Anderson; and his siblings, Ray Oliver Roberts, William Franklin Roberts, Emory Lewis Roberts, Issac Guerry Roberts, Isabelle Destlo Roberts Smith and Nina Reed Roberts Mallis.
He is survived by: his daughters, LaDonna Russell (Ernie Russell) and Thelma Roberts Duncan (Andy Duncan); his granddaughter Miranda Roberts (John Hawkins); his great grandchildren, Nevaeh Maxine Lucas, John Thomas Hawkins and Skylar Elizabeth Hawkins; his extended family, Stacey Franklin (Jared) and Kayla Russell; Raybon Franklin and Eli Franklin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
