He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Smith, Jr.; and his grandparents, Rev. Oscar, Flora Belle Cummings of Lumberton, NC, Floyd, Sr., Elmira Smith of Rockford, IL and Mark Smith.

He is survived by: his mother Fay Smith of Lexington, SC; his son Brandon Smith; his stepchildren, Nicholas Johnson and Lacey Mungo; his sisters, Laurice Mears (Barry) and Kimberly Whyde; and his siblings' children, Lexi Whyde, Danika Whyde, Charley Mears (Valerian) and Joshua Mears. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

“No words can say how much I will miss Tim. One of the best friends I've ever had. Tim knew everything about me, sometimes he would use it against me in a joke with a laugh to follow, I would laugh along with him. Oh yes...and as everyone knows Tim loved the water, he just couldn't get enough. I went along many times, jet skiing meeting up with the whole crew, family and friends. Tim was so blessed in so many ways. The love and support from his family is unimaginable. They stay close, they stay strong, they stay together with such great love. Iam going to miss him so much !”
