With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda Faye Sowell of Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on May 1, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Wanda leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Wanda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Baker and Vera Phillips Baker; and her brothers, Keith Baker and Donnie Baker. She is survived by: her daughter Paula Bowers (Kirby); her grandsons, Zachary Sowell and Dalton Floyd; and her sister Deborah Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
