He was predeceased by : his parents, Wingard Harmon and Edna Harmon; his son Richard Harmon (Ricky); his daughter-in-law Sharon Harmon; his great grandchild Wesley Richard Harmon; and his sisters, Carolyn Foster and Nancy Anderson.

He is survived by : his wife Marlene; his children, Deborah Chavis (Jerry) and Wesley Harmon (Pee-Wee); his grandchildren, Eddie Chavis (Megan), Jason Chavis (Michelle), Mark Harmon, Nicole Harmon, Glenn Harmon and Amanda Harmon; his great grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Lauren, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Caroline, Spencer and Larson; his brother Wyman Harmon (Judy); and his friend Gerald Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, 1130 St Peters Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
