He is survived by: his significant other Sandra Bleckley; his children, Todd Matthews (Heather Owens) and Aimee Matthews Hill (Lee); his grandchildren, Sydney Matthews Lambright and Lem Hill; his great grandchildren, Weston Lambright, Payton Lambright and Cooper Lambright; his stepchildren, Marty Bleckley (Susan) and Jessica Bolden (Chris); his stepgrandchildren, Hunter Bolden, Hannah King (Dylan) and Haleigh Saxon (Justin); and his siblings, Tommy Matthews (Linda), Jerry Matthews (Pam), Vincent Matthews, Darlene Griffith (Jimmy), Janice Cothran, Peggy Bramlett and Jackie Dobson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 151 Central in Norris, S.C.
