Shelby Barnwell Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on February 1, 2026, at the age of 85, Shelby Barnwell (Liberty, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James D. "Barney" Barnwell; her parents, Henry Mage and Pearl Palmer Chambers; her granddaughter Sydney Jan Young; and her siblings, Martha "Bootsey" James, Earl, Bobby and W. C. "Dub" Chambers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Nix (Dewayne) and Teressa Black (Randy); her grandchildren, Travis Nix, Brad Nix (Kim), Courtney Sykes (Allie) and Dana Nix; and her great grandchildren, Victoria, Blake, Emarie, James, Karstyn, Bowen, Mary Ellis and Baylor.
