He is survived by: his mother Mildred Holcombe Whitmire; his wife Debra Whitmire; his son Steven Dale Whitmire of Liberty; his grandchildren, David Searcy of North Dakota, Jessie Woodall of Liberty and Chance Whitmire of Pickens; and his siblings, Joe Whitmire (Carol) of Pumpkintown, Vickie Stephens (Roger) of Abbeville, Jimmy Whitmire (Emily) of Pickens, Donnie Whitmire (Doris) of Sunset and George Whitmire (Marisol) of Virginia.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Roanoke Baptist Church (400 Roanoke Rd, Liberty, SC 29657). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
