He was predeceased by : his parents, Steve Ramey and Inez Cannon Ramey; and his siblings, Essie, Bonnie and Willie.

He is survived by : his children, Angela Ramey of Easley, Crystal Posey of Elgin, Sheila Ramey of Greenville, Will Ramey of Liberty and David Howard of Liberty; his sister Betsy Lee of Maryland; and his brother-in-law Ed Waddell of Easley.
