James Southerland Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Southerland of Little Mountain, South Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Nicklas Carl Southerland. He is survived by: his wife Debra Gantt Southerland; his parents, James Southerland and Juanita Southerland of Little Mountain; his sisters, Sheryl Wicker of Little Mountain and Cindy Vodila (Shawn) of Little Mountain; his sister-in-law Patty Freytag of Lexington; his granddaughters, Sonya Morrison and Sarah Morrison; and his nieces, Katie Humphries (John), Nicole Vodila, Holly Schuetterle (Aiden) and Shanna Shealy (Garett). He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Screaming Eagles.
