He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Roland and Mary Sites Shealy; and his siblings, Eva Pearl Shealy, Earline Wessinger (Wendell), Martha "Mot" Riddle (James "Jack"), Doris "Dot" Monts (Heyward), Roland (Gladys), Dewey (Ruby) and Carroll "Buddy" Shealy (Dot).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn R. Shealy; and his children, Adriane Shealy (Derrill Frick) and Richard Eugene "Ricky" Shealy, Jr. (Casey Sherwood) of Little Mountain, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
