Archer leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Archer’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Archer will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Archer Ward Grayson, Sr. of Christiansburg, Virginia and Texie Wingfield Reynolds Grayson of Christiansburg, Virginia; his sister Jane Shelton; and his son Scott Grayson. He is survived by: his wife Gay Conner Grayson; and his children, Michael Grayson (Sarah), D. J. Randolph, Kim Simpson, Joe Furrow (Lori) and Ginny Meadows (Jeff). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Living Water Baptist Church (1569 Hwy 9 E, Longs, SC 29568).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Living Water Baptist Church Missionary Fund in Longs, South Carolina, or the North Myrtle Beach Gideon Camp.
