He is survived by: his wife Joan McDermott; his son Gerard Patrick McDermott (Beth); his grandchildren, Conor, Joseph, Kylee Anne and Carter Charles; his brothers, Patrick McDermott (Suzanne), Richard McDermott (Sandra) and Dennis McDermott (Denise); and his pet Roxie.
