He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Brown Kanoy; his children, David Hunter Kanoy (Christine) of Wilmington, NC, Brian Christopher Kanoy (Megan) of Olathe, KS, Meg Kanoy Carter (Eric) of Calabash, NC and Kim Gunter McFarling of Loris, SC; his grandchildren, Brooke Nicole McFarling, Chase Emerson Kanoy, Owen David Kanoy and Knox Emerson Carter; and his sister Diana Kay Kanoy of Florida.
