She was predeceased by: her parents, James Claude and Nellie Smith Jones; her husband Paul Dean Lowder; and her sister Betty Gayle Whisnant. She is survived by: her daughter Paula Jo Lowder Calhoun (Brett); her granddaughter Lara Brett Calhoun of Knoxville, TN; her brother-in-law Richard Lowder (Ferry Lane) of Lexington, NC; her nephew Nelson Whisnant of Monroe, NC; and her niece-in-law Sandy Whisnant of Archdale, NC.
